“Wonky, rescued as a baby, lived with my husband and me and our two cats for 12 years, thinking he was a cat who could fly. He was funny, sensitive, loving and intelligent. He became disabled for the last five years of his life due to a bone infection and he could not stand, walk or fly. He became what I like to call “the world’s only potty-trained pigeon.” This is a story with deep emotional appeal which will bring laughter and tears to animal lovers everywhere. His cheerfulness in the face of disability was inspiring and his inseparable friendship with our last cat was heartwarming and rare. Our experiences in creating therapy devices (illustrations and instructions are included in the book) may be of help and support to others working with injured or handicapped pets.”

A palindrome reads the same backwards as forward.
This video reads the exact opposite backwards as forward.
Not only does it read the opposite,
the meaning is the exact opposite.
This is only a 1 minute, 44 second video
and it is brilliant.
Make sure you read as well as listen…forward and backward.
This is a video that was submitted in a contest by a 20-year old.
The contest was titled “u @ 50″ by AARP.
This video won second place.
When they showed it,
everyone in the room was awe-struck
and broke into spontaneous applause.
So simple and yet so brilliant.
Take a minute and watch it.

When some soldiers in Belarus found a tiny squirrel,
they took it to their Warrant officer.
The little squirrel was weak and about to die.
The warrant officer took him home and cared for it,
feeding it every four hours.
When the soldier left the army, the squirrel went with him.
The former soldier is now drives a taxi,
and no matter where he goes,
the squirrel is always with him.
Mango, a 2-week old kitten
loves his Milkshake.
Milkshake was rescued with his siblings earlier this month
and Mango was brought in on the same day.
They were all so young when they were rescued
that they needed to be bottle fed.
