Now… what do you need to know?
When it comes to Adobe Photoshop first decide if you are after CS5 or CS6. The initial certification will run you around $180 for both and a recertification (when the time comes) will be about $60. But what do you need to study?? I’ll kind of mock this up for you off of the CS6 requirements, but CS5 are very similar.

Good news is the Adobe cert exam is multiple choice. You have 55 minutes to get a score of 60%. Sound easy? Well, it can be much easier, if you are ready! Here are some basic requirements and fundamental topics for the exam. You need at least three years experience with Photoshop and some familiarity with the following: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Camera Raw, and Photoshop fundamentals such as pen and tablet inputs, workspace navigation, importing and exporting, resetting sliders and options. You will also need a good familiarity with understanding selections, layers, adjustments, editing images, and also working with design and print production, video, and outputs for web, print, and of course mobile.

If you can check off on this basic task list, you are ready for Adobe Photoshop exam study time and success.
